Calling Ātman is the debut album by Christina Sangita.


The eight tracks are deeply rooted in the Indian mantra tradition, while also embracing modern, cross-genre sounds ranging from jazz to world music and spiritual improvisation.

Christina Sangita learned many of the songs during her stay in India, in close connection with her spiritual master. There she discovered the power of sacred chants, which have accompanied her artistic work ever since. Together with Grammy-nominated producer Dave Stringer (Los Angeles) and Ben Kreisel, she created an album that conveys authenticity and devotion in every note.
